The Version 8 Challenger system provides
complete integration of access control and
alarm management facilities such as multiple
area programming, definable user functions,
remote monitoring capabilities, input and
output functionality as well as supporting
various reporting formats.
A Data Gathering Panel (DGP) allows inputs
and relays to be connected at a location
remote from the Challenger Panel. Data
Gathering Panels are used to expand the
number of inputs and outputs in a system and
to send data to the Challenger Panel for
processing. Standard with a Data Gathering
Panel is 8 inputs, 8 open collectors and a
siren driver, however this is expandable to
a total of 32 inputs and 16 relays /
outputs.

The Intelligent Four Door Controller can
operate off-line with no degradation in
performance, should communications with the
Challenger fail. The Controller also
supports many reader technologies, including
PIN, Magnetic Swipe, Proximity, & Wiegand as
standard.
The outstanding feature of this interface is
its offline database of 20users, which can
be programmed from a RAS or card reader.
Programming from an Arming Station follows a
simple process of identifying the equipment
& placing the unit into program mode. To
program from a reader, a card is required to
be badged a certain number of times to
include & erase card information. A separate
power supply can be connected to maintain
the unit should the power cable be cut
between the Challenger Panel or Access
Controller & the TS0862.
The unit features easily readable LCD text
displaying system programming, alarm and
access control functions.
The face of the Arming Station displays 16
area status indicator LEDs, while the LCD
details alarms or pre-programmed text. The
keypad buttons require only gentle finger
pressure to achieve full depression, which
is indicated by an audible beep.
The TS0801 Remote Arming Station has a
clearly readable English text LCD for
displaying system programming, alarm and
access control functions. It can be mounted
at a distance of 1.5km from the Challenger
Panel or Access Controllers. The face of the
Arming Station displays 8 programmable area
status indicator LED’s, while the LCD
details alarms or pre-programmed scrolling
text.
The TS0804 has a strong metal case & hardy
buttons, making it suitable where user
traffic is high. Two lines of text are
displayed on a clearly readable backlit LCD
screen. Custom text can be programmed to
display on the LCD when no button activity
is detected. The size allows important
system information to be displayed,
including status indicator LED’s for all 16
areas. A constantly lit LED represents an
armed area, no light indicates a disarmed
area, & flashing indicates an area in alarm.
There are also 4 ‘System Fault’ & 4 ‘System
Alarm’ LED’s. A flashing ‘System Fault’
indicates a fault with communication, RAS’s,
DGP’s, & batteries. A flashing ‘System
Alarm’ LED indicates access, 24hour, secure
& tamper alarms.
The TS0898 plugs directly onto the the
TS0816 Version 8Challenger board, allowing
direct connection onto an Ethernet LAN/WAN
whilst maintaining security using128bit
2-Fish encryption, removing the need to
purchase third party interfaces. In the
event of total IP communication failure,
PSTN dialler backup can be utilized.
Forcefield is multi-operator, multi-tasking,
network-enabled software designed to control
Challenger panels (Challengers) and other
high-level interfaces such as CCTV
switchers, intercom systems, and more A
Forcefield server can control up to 32
Challengers (64 with license upgrade). The
Forcefield operator interface is typically
provided by up to five remote Microsoft
Windows Forcefield clients via LAN/WAN or
dial-up. Connection to Challengers can be
made via direct RS-232 connection, dialler,
or TCP/IP.
TITAN is an access control and security
management system for the Windows
environment. Operator-friendly screens allow
for system programming, system control,
report creation and alarm handling. All
security commands and operations can be
handled from the TITAN screens.
